The Tradition of Ìtàn
Long before restaurants had menus, Yoruba towns had a gathering place where elders passed down history, proverbs, and folklore to the next generation — by firelight, by voice, by memory.
At Àgbàlá, our village courtyard, that tradition lives on. Our Àgbà (storytellers) open each session with a tale rooted in Yoruba history and proverb — then the circle opens to you.

Yoruba Language Only Night — proverbs, riddles, and trivia in our mother tongue. Alternates with Ìlú Ìtàn Quiz Night on other weeks.
